The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage BMW E30 Touring V3 is a full roll cage for the rear-wheel-drive BMW 3 Series (E30) with 5-door Touring bodywork. This Bolt-in E30 Touring V3 builds on the V2 and adds door bars that shield the driver from the side.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers of a rear-wheel-drive E30 Touring who compete and regard side protection as a must.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell and the cage is then bolted onto them. When preparing the car, bear in mind the door cards and window mechanisms, as the door bars run close to them. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly.

With the door bars of the V3, the E30 Touring truly becomes a competition car, as the driver is now enclosed in a closed structure at the sides as well.

That depends on your door cards and on how the Bolt-in E30 Touring V3 sits in your car. The door bars take up space in the door, so many drivers opt for slim panels or map pockets instead of the original door card.

Is this cage suitable for the all-wheel-drive E30 325iX?

No. This version is made for the rear-wheel-drive BMW E30 Touring. For the all-wheel-drive 325iX, there is a separate AWD version that takes the different floor and transmission tunnel into account.

How is the cage mounted?

Six foot plates made of 3 mm steel are welded to the bodyshell. The cage itself is then secured to these foot plates with bolts, washers and nuts.
