The AST Removable Roll Cage BMW E34 Saloon V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW 5 Series E34 with 4-door saloon bodywork. This Removable Roll Cage E34 Saloon V2 builds on the V1 and adds front reinforcement bars running to the bulkhead, while the cage remains removable via connecting sleeves.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who put their E34 Saloon to serious use on track and also want extra rigidity at the front.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Bear in mind that the six foot plates have to be welded to the bodyshell before the cage can be bolted onto them, and that the front bars need space in the bulkhead area.

The V2 ties the full roll cage of the E34 Saloon to the bulkhead with front reinforcement bars.

The step from V1 to V2 is mainly at the front of the car: the reinforcement bars running to the bulkhead extend the cage beyond the dashboard. This makes the structure more cohesive under frontal loads and gives the large E34 Saloon more torsional rigidity. Because everything remains separable via connecting sleeves, you can still dismantle the cage.

What does the V2 add compared with the V1?

In addition to the basic structure, the Removable Roll Cage E34 Saloon V2 has front reinforcement bars that run to the bulkhead. The number of mounting points, six on six welded foot plates, stays the same.

Can I remove the cage again myself?

The sections are separated by connecting sleeves and bolted onto the welded foot plates, so the cage can be dismantled. Welding the foot plates themselves, however, remains a job for a skilled fitter.

What if my car has a sunroof?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.
