The AST Half Roll Cage BMW E93 Convertible V2 is a half roll cage for the BMW E93 with two-door convertible bodywork. This Half Roll Cage E93 Convertible V2 has a more extensive set of bars than the V1, with extra junctions in the rear compartment, and is fixed-mounted on four welded foot plates.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who take their open-top E93 on track more often and want to stiffen the rear section of the bodyshell.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Plan the fitting together with removing the trim and exposing the roof mechanism, as the four foot plates are welded to the bodyshell. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly.

Why choose this half roll cage E93 Convertible V2?

In an open-top car you notice torsional flex sooner than with a closed body. The V2 places more tubes and more connection points behind the seats than the basic version, which makes the rear of the E93 noticeably tighter. The structure is intended for track and competition use; check the regulations of your own organiser before you enter.

Is this the same cage as for the E92 coupé or E90 saloon?

No. The Half Roll Cage E93 Convertible V2 is designed exclusively for the open-top E93 convertible. The E92 coupé and the E90 saloon are different bodyshells with their own mounting points and their own roof structure, and AST supplies separate cages for them. So always check your car’s chassis code before you order.

What is the difference from the V1?

The V1 is the basic version with main hoop and backstays. The V2 has a more extensive set of bars with extra junctions in the rear compartment. Both versions sit on four foot plates welded to the bodyshell and are fixed-mounted without connecting sleeves.
