The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW E82 Coupé V1 is a half roll cage for the BMW 1 Series E82 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Removable Half Cage E82 Coupé V1 is the entry-level version of the range and stiffens the rear compartment with a main hoop and braces on four bolting points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want to make their E82 stiffer and safer without giving up the entire interior. The structure can be separated into sections via connecting sleeves, so you can take it back out of the car after a track weekend.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The four foot plates are welded to the bodyshell of the E82, after which you bolt the cage in place yourself. Have the welding done by an experienced cage builder or welder. The cage is intended for track and competition use; always check the regulations of your own federation or organiser before ordering.

No. The Removable Half Cage E82 Coupé V1 has been measured on the two-door Coupé. AST designs a separate cage for each body style, so the three-door E81 and the five-door E87 have their own version, and these are not interchangeable.

What exactly will I receive?

You receive the welded structure, the connecting sleeves, the reinforcement plates, the bolts, washers and nuts, the documentation, the fitting instructions and a sticker set. The cage is supplied unpainted.

What if my car has a sunroof or headlining?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof and whether the headlining will stay in place, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.
