The BC Racing ZX coilover kit M3 M4 F80 5-bolt (part number I-68-ZX) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW M3 F80 and M4 F82 with rear-wheel drive and front top mounts with 5 bolts, model years 2014 to 2020. The spring rate is 6 kg/mm front and 12 kg/mm rear.

For competitive track use, long sessions and demanding drifting, BC Racing has the ZX series, a combination of the DS and the ER. The damping is 3-way adjustable: 20 clicks for low speed compression, 12 clicks for high speed compression and 30 clicks for rebound.

BC Racing uses an upright monotube with dual piston, an external reservoir and racing oil with a very high viscosity index. This ZX is intended for the M3 F80 and M4 F82 with a front top mount secured with 5 bolts; for the 3-bolt version there is a separate ZX.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original dampers and springs. We recommend having it fitted by an experienced mechanic, and check beforehand that the front top mount is secured with 5 bolts. Make sure the lines to the external reservoirs have a clear route, and have the wheel alignment readjusted after setting the ride height. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing temporarily does not have the ZX in stock, you can still order and we will let you know when it comes in.
