Audi A3 8V V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 365 mm 6-piston

The big brake kit A3 8V 365 mm is the largest brake kit that V-Maxx makes for the Audi A3 8V. The front axle gets 365 mm two-piece brake discs with 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, suitable for the A3, Sportback, Saloon and Convertible with aluminium knuckle up to 228 kW.

While the 330 and 355 mm kits are already a big step, the 365 mm disc gives the longest lever and therefore the most braking torque of the four V-Maxx kits for the 8V. For a car that builds up a lot of speed on the track, that means more reserve with every stop, even when the brakes are already hot.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer that gives a 2-year warranty. The kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and is therefore approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and observe the tightening torques stated in them. The kit is only intended for cars with original steering knuckles, here the aluminium knuckle with Ø55 mm clamp. For cleaning, use a mild soap; wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Options: V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (620 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

For the A3 8V, there is no larger V-Maxx kit: 365 mm discs and forged 6-piston calipers for drivers who want the most braking reserve on the track.

Which V-Maxx kit suits my A3 8V?

V-Maxx has four kits for the A3 8V. With a steel knuckle and Ø50 mm clamp, you choose the 20 AU330 10; with an aluminium knuckle and Ø55 mm clamp, the 20 AU330 11 (both 330 mm, 4-piston, up to 140 kW). For the aluminium knuckle, there are also the 20 AU355 01 (355 mm) and this big brake kit A3 8V 365 mm (20 AU365 01), both with 6-piston calipers and an application up to 228 kW.

Does the big brake kit A3 8V 365 mm fit behind my wheels?

You need wheels of at least 19 inch. Check with the fitment template (WFC) whether there is enough clearance between wheel and caliper; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Is it normal for the brake pads to click?

Yes. The pads deliberately have 1 to 1.5 mm of play in the caliper so that they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.
