The MTS Street Volvo 850 Gold is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the Volvo 850 / C70 I / S70 / V70 I, model years 1991 to 2005. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness, for daily use and the occasional track day or drift day.

On the Gold version, the steel parts have a yellow zinc coating and the aluminium parts are black anodised.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Street Volvo 850 Gold replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• After lowering, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (AWD) version?

No. The MTS Street Volvo 850 Gold is not suitable for the four-wheel-drive versions.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
