Description
DriftMax extended control arm without ball joints (+45 or +75 mm) for BMW E30, E36 and E46
This DriftMax extended control arm is a bare front control arm without ball joints, longer than the original. You use it as a spare part for your DriftMax lock kit, or as the basis for your own lock build.
You choose between +45 mm for the E30, E36 or E46, or +75 mm for the E46. Each arm is identical for left and right and is supplied per piece. The longer arm gives you a wider track width and more room for the wheels at full lock.
The length of the control arms in DriftMax kits can differ by production year. So please get in touch with us before you order, and we will check together which arm belongs with your kit.

Installation and delivery
The control arm comes without ball joints; you fit those yourself, from your old arm or as a separate DriftMax part. The photo shows the control arm with ball joints fitted, for illustration. If you use the +75 mm arm on an E46, we recommend lollipop brackets for the rear mounting: they make the connection between body and arm stiffer and give more caster adjustment range. After fitting, redo the complete wheel alignment. The DriftMax extended control arm has a lead time of 4 to 7 days.
A longer control arm is the first step towards more steering angle, whether you are repairing a kit or building your own.
Why choose this DriftMax extended control arm?
The arm is sturdily built for drifting and integrates seamlessly with the DriftMax parts. If you are building your own lock setup, the +45 or +75 mm arm gives you the right basis straight away for more track width and wheel clearance.
