Description
Wilwood master cylinder 0.625 without reservoir
This Wilwood master cylinder without reservoir is the remote version of Wilwood’s well-known compact cylinder. It has a 0.625 inch (5/8 inch, 15.9 mm) bore and no fluid pot on the cylinder itself. Instead, there is an inlet on top to which you connect a separate reservoir.
That gives you freedom when installing: the cylinder stays small and low, and you put the reservoir where you can easily reach it. That is why this cylinder is widely used in hydraulic handbrakes, pedal boxes and clutch systems in drift, track and club sport cars.
Key benefits
- Remote version: place the reservoir separately, wherever suits you
- Very compact, ideal for tight installations
- Aluminium body, light and corrosion resistant
- Both ports on top for neat line routing
- Fits almost any external reservoir with a 7/16-20 connection
- Suitable for brakes, hydraulic handbrake and clutch
Suitable for
Universal fitment
- Hydraulic handbrake with its own, independent brake circuit
- Pedal boxes with two or three cylinders
- Hydraulic clutch systems with a small swept volume
- Builds with no room for a pot on the cylinder

Installation and delivery
The cylinder mounts with two bolts through the flange. Connect the separate reservoir with a hose and fitting to the 7/16-20 inlet, and the brake line to the 3/8-24 outlet. Wilwood offers its own reservoir kits for this (for example 260-7577, 4 oz). Bleed the system thoroughly after installation. When in stock we ship within 1 to 2 days; if sold out, lead time is 4 to 7 days.
A small Wilwood cylinder without a pot, so you decide where the reservoir goes.
Why choose this Wilwood master cylinder without reservoir?
Wilwood is a fixture in motorsport for master cylinders and pedal boxes. With the remote version you keep the cylinder as small as possible and can mount the reservoir higher or more accessibly. That makes topping up and bleeding easier, especially in a crowded cockpit or engine bay.
Frequently asked questions
Is a reservoir included?
No. This Wilwood master cylinder without reservoir is supplied on its own. You need an external reservoir with hose, or choose the version with integral reservoir.
Is this cylinder suitable for a hydraulic handbrake?
Yes. A 0.625 inch cylinder is widely used for a hydraulic handbrake with its own circuit to the rear calipers.
Which connections does the cylinder have?
The reservoir inlet is 7/16-20, the brake line outlet is 3/8-24 and the pushrod has a 5/16-24 thread.
What is the lead time?
