BMW E46 Heavy Duty Boot Floor Reinforcement (RACP)

This E46 boot floor reinforcement tackles the notorious weak spot of the BMW E46: the mounting points of the rear axle structure in the boot floor, also known as the RACP. On cars with more power, track use or drifting, that sheet metal cracks, and the damage then quickly gets worse.

This is the heavy-duty version. Compared with standard reinforcement plates, this kit has a larger surface area and a more robust construction, so the load is spread better across the body. The plates are made from 3 mm thick S355 structural steel and are shaped so that you can easily adapt them further, even if the body is already distorted or has been repaired before.

Fitting and delivery

For fitting, the relevant section of the boot floor is opened up so that the reinforcements can be positioned correctly. The plates are then welded into the original bodyshell. After the repair, you finish everything off neatly with the cover plate supplied. Have this work carried out by an experienced welder. Delivery time is 1 to 2 days.
