Description
BMW E46 Adjustable Front Control Arm Bushes (lollipops)
With these E46 adjustable control arm bushes you replace the rear rubber bearings of the front control arms, the so-called lollipops, with adjustable brackets with a uniball. This lets you change the geometry of the front suspension of your BMW 3 Series E46. Above all, the caster angle can be changed with them, and that is exactly what you want for drifting.
You can also shift the position of the wheel in the wheel arch. That is useful with wider wheels, a different offset or a modified steering angle. According to the manufacturer, the adjustment range is very large.

Installation and delivery
The E46 adjustable control arm bushes go in place of the original lollipops, the rear mounting of the front control arm. Because of the shape of the control arm, you need to grind it slightly where it comes into contact with the uniball. Do this carefully and in small steps, and then protect the ground area against rust.
A full wheel alignment is needed after fitting. First set the desired caster, then camber and toe. Check after the first few kilometres that all bolts are still tight and that the uniball can move freely without touching anything.
You will find more parts for your suspension in our control arms and track rods. If you also want to be able to adjust the rear axle of your E46, take a look at our camber arms category.

More caster, more feel in the steering, and an E46 that lets itself be steered in a drift instead of fighting back.
Why choose these E46 adjustable control arm bushes?
The standard rubber lollipops of the E46 are made for comfort. They give under load and leave you no room to change the caster. With E46 adjustable control arm bushes with uniball, you get a direct feel in the front suspension and can tune the geometry to your car and driving style. For drifters, more caster is often one of the first steps towards a car that steers back nicely.
Frequently asked questions
What can I adjust with these?
With the E46 adjustable control arm bushes you adjust the caster angle and the position of the wheel in the wheel arch.
Do I need to modify the control arm?
Yes. Because of the shape of the control arm, you need to grind it slightly where it touches the uniball of the E46 adjustable control arm bushes.
Are the brackets treated against rust?
Yes, the E46 adjustable control arm bushes are zinc-plated.
Is this suitable for a road car?
They are mainly intended for drifting and circuit use. A uniball gives a more direct feel, but also more vibration and noise than rubber.
How much caster can I gain?
The manufacturer describes the adjustment range as very large, but does not give exact values. How much caster you end up setting also depends on the rest of your suspension and the space in the wheel arch.
Does the car need a wheel alignment afterwards?
Yes, a full wheel alignment is needed after fitting and adjusting.
