The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage BMW E34 Touring V3 is a full roll cage for the BMW 5 Series E34 with 5-door Touring bodywork. This Bolt-in E34 Touring V3 includes everything from the V2 and adds door bars, the point at which the cage also starts to provide side protection.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who are serious about track driving or drifting and no longer want to leave the sides of the cabin unprotected.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Bear in mind that the door bars take up space in the door opening, so plan the position of your bucket seat and your entry space around them. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell; that welding is a job for a specialist.

With the door bars added, the V3 is the first version that also genuinely protects you from the side in the E34 Touring.

The Bolt-in E34 Touring V3 is the V2 with door bars added. The main hoop, the braces and the front reinforcement bars to the bulkhead remain the same.

Does any welding need to be done on the car?

Yes. The six foot plates onto which the cage is bolted are welded to the bodyshell. The cage itself is then fastened to those plates with bolts, washers and nuts.
