The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW E87 V1 is a half roll cage for the BMW 1 Series E87 with five-door hatchback bodywork. This Removable Half Cage E87 V1 is the entry-level version in the range and reinforces only the rear compartment, leaving the front part of the interior untouched.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who are building up their E87 step by step and want to be able to take the structure out of the car again in the off-season.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Bear in mind that the four foot plates are welded to the bodyshell and only then is the cage bolted in place. Fitting therefore involves welding.

Frequently asked questions

Does this cage also fit an E81 three-door or an E82 coupé?

No. The Removable Half Cage E87 V1 is designed for the five-door E87 from 2004 to 2011. For the E81 three-door and the E82 coupé, AST makes a separate version with different dimensions and different mounting points. These cages are not interchangeable.

What exactly will I receive?

You receive the welded structure in sections with connecting sleeves, reinforcement plates, bolts, washers and nuts, documentation, fitting instructions and a sticker set. The cage is unpainted, so you can have it painted or powder-coated as you wish.
