AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW F82 Coupé V1

The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW F82 Coupé V1 is a half roll cage for the BMW F82 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This removable half cage F82 Coupé V1 is the entry level of the removable range: a main hoop with braces that covers the rear compartment and that you can take back out of the car via connecting sleeves.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who use their M4 seriously on track but want to keep the car perfectly usable between track days.

AST does not offer a convertible version for the F82. The successor, the G82, has its own cage, which is not interchangeable with this one.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Please note that the four foot plates must be welded to the bodyshell before the cage can be bolted onto them; that is welding work for a specialist. After that, the cage simply bolts on and off.

The V1 is the lightest way to protect the rear compartment of an F82 without permanently sacrificing the car.

Frequently asked questions

Does this cage also fit a BMW 4 Series convertible or a G82?

No. The removable half cage F82 Coupé V1 is designed exclusively for the 2-door coupé of the F82. AST does not offer a convertible version for this model, and the successor, the G82, has its own cage that is not interchangeable.

What exactly will I receive?

You receive the welded structure with connecting sleeves, the reinforcement plates, the bolts, washers and nuts, the documentation, the fitting instructions and a sticker set. Everything is supplied unpainted.

Is this cage permitted in competition?

The cage is intended for track and competition use. Always check the regulations of your own organiser or federation before entering.

What if my car has a sunroof or headlining?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof and whether the headlining will stay in place, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.

Where is the roll cage anchored at the rear?

You choose this yourself when ordering: in the rear suspension area or in the boot area. AST builds the rear foot plates for the area you specify.

What is the delivery time?
