The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW F21 V2 is a half roll cage for the BMW 1 Series F21 with three-door hatchback bodywork. This Removable Half Cage F21 V2 goes a step further than the V1: extra reinforcement bars are fitted in addition to the main hoop and backstays, making the rear compartment noticeably more rigid.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who train seriously and want a more substantial rear structure without going straight to a full roll cage.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Bear in mind that the four foot plates have to be welded to the bodyshell before the cage can be bolted onto them. Have this done by an experienced fitter, because the position of the plates determines the fit of the entire package.

The V2 gives you the rigidity of a more substantial rear structure while still letting you lift the cage back out of the F21.

What is the difference from the V1?

The Removable Half Cage F21 V2 has extra reinforcement bars compared with the V1, which consists only of the main hoop and backstays. Otherwise, the mounting and the tube dimensions are the same.

Does this cage fit a five-door BMW F20?

No. This cage is specific to the three-door F21. AST offers a separate version for the five-door F20, and the two are not interchangeable.

What about homologation?

The cage is intended for track and competition use. Check the regulations of your governing body or organiser yourself before entering an event with this cage.

What if my car has headlining?

When ordering, please state whether the headlining will stay in your car, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.
