The BC Racing ZX coilover kit E46 M3 (part number I-14-ZX) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW E46 M3 Coupe, model years 2000 to 2006. The spring rate is 6 kg/mm front and 9 kg/mm rear.
It is BC Racing’s 3-way kit, intended for drivers who take the track seriously, run long sessions or drift at a demanding level. The ZX combines the digressive basis of the DS with the double piston and external reservoir of the ER.
Each damper is an upright monotube with a double piston and an external reservoir. You adjust three things independently of each other: low-speed compression in 20 clicks, high-speed compression in 12 clicks and rebound in 30 clicks. The dampers contain racing oil with an ultra-high viscosity index.
The spring rate is 6/9 kg/mm front/rear. The ride height is infinitely adjustable via the damper body.

Fitting and delivery
With a kit with reservoirs, it pays to plan the fitting calmly. Decide in advance where the reservoirs will go and, after fitting, check that they do not touch anything during compression and extension or at full steering lock. Then set the ride height and have the M3 aligned. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock.
