The BC Racing BR coilover kit Lexus IS200 (part number R-01-BR-RS) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the Lexus IS200 and IS300 (GXE10/JCE10), model years 1999 to 2005. The spring rate is 10 kg/mm front and 6 kg/mm rear.
The BR series is the all-round coilover kit from BC Racing, for an IS200 or IS300 that you drive every day and that occasionally does a track day or autocross. Monotube dampers with a linear piston, 30-click damping adjustment and a ride height that is adjustable independently of the spring preload make the kit suitable for a wide range of uses.
The first-generation IS has rear-wheel drive and a six-cylinder engine, which makes it a popular basis for sporty driving. With 10 kg/mm front and 6 kg/mm rear it sits considerably tighter on the road than on the original suspension, while you can still simply use it for the drive to work.

What is the difference between the BC Racing BR and DS coilover kits for the Lexus IS200 and IS300?
The BR has a linear piston for road use with the occasional track day, the DS a digressive piston for more track use. The DS damps more firmly at slow body movements between 0 and 50 mm/s. For the IS, both have 10/6 kg/mm springs and rubber top mounts at the front. If you mainly drive on the road, the BR coilover kit Lexus IS200 suits your use well.
Does the BC Racing BR coilover kit for the Lexus IS200 also fit the IS300 SportCross?
Not without checking first: BC Racing UK releases this kit for the Lexus IS200 and IS300 with chassis code GXE10 and JCE10, model years 1999 to 2005, and does not mention the SportCross separately. If you have a SportCross, contact us before you order.
