BMW F30 / F31 / F34 3 Series V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 365 mm 6-piston

The big brake kit F30 365 mm from V-Maxx combines 365 mm two-piece brake discs with 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium for the BMW 3 Series F30, F31 and F34. The kit is supplied ready to fit, including sport brake pads and adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect.

If your F30 runs on 19 inch or larger wheels and you want to get the maximum out of the front axle, this is the kit to look at. It is made for the powerful versions and for cars with factory-fitted M Sport brakes, and is aimed at drivers who have to brake hard time after time on the track, at track days or when drifting. The Dutch manufacturer V-Maxx Autosport supplies the kit with a TÜV certificate according to §19.3, so it is also approved for use on public roads.

The applications are the same as those of the 355 mm kit (20 BM355 02); the difference lies in the disc size and the wheel size. Not suitable for the M3 F80. Minimum wheel size: 19 inch. Check with the fitment template (WFC, Wheel Fitment Chart) whether your wheels clear the calipers; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the brake kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The kit is only intended for cars with original steering knuckles. Do not use wheel cleaner on the brake kit, as it attacks the aluminium; mild soap is enough. If you do a lot of hard track driving, remove the dust seals from the calipers on the advice of V-Maxx.

You can complete the kit with V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (PTFE inner hose, with TÜV approval), 500 ml of Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid and the V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about five times better than steel, and the discs have directional cooling channels. Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the 355 and the 365 mm kit?

Both fit the same F30, F31 and F34 versions and have 6-piston calipers. The big brake kit F30 365 mm has larger discs and therefore requires wheels of at least 19 inch; the 355 mm kit already fits behind 18 inch.

Which version do I need?

This kit is for versions with an original power output of 180 to 265 kW, or 85 to 165 kW if the car has factory-fitted M Sport brakes. If you have between 85 and 165 kW without M Sport brakes, the 330 mm kit (20 BM330 09) is the right one.

Can I use this brake kit on public roads?

Yes, the kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and is therefore approved for use on public roads.

Is this kit suitable for an F30 with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. An F30 with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: the 365 mm discs and 6-piston calipers give more braking power and stay consistent even under repeated hard braking. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.
