Kia Rio UB V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston

The big brake kit Kia Rio with 330 mm discs is the largest V-Maxx front brake kit for the Kia Rio (UB/UBG), model years 09-2011 to 01-2017. The kit consists of 330 mm two-piece, grooved brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, red (RAL 3020) as standard.

If you use your Rio on the track or at track days, this kit gets the most braking torque out of the front axle. The larger disc works with a longer lever arm, and because the caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, heat is dissipated quickly. Aluminium conducts heat about 5 times better than steel. The result is a firm pedal and much less fade under repeated hard braking.

The kit is ready to fit: V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters for the original rubber brake hoses are included. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. With the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The big brake kit Kia Rio only fits a Rio with original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with a mild soap, never with wheel cleaner: it attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Options: a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow, at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (500 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), the V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads. These DS pads do not have TÜV approval. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

The most braking torque V-Maxx makes for the Rio (UB): 330 mm discs, forged 4-piston calipers and TÜV approval.

Why choose this big brake kit Kia Rio?

If you drive on 17 inch wheels or larger, the 330 mm kit is the strongest choice for the Rio. The larger disc gives more braking torque than the 290 mm version, and the aluminium keeps the braking consistent under repeated hard braking. You choose the caliper colour yourself, and with the optional Ferodo DS pads you have a separate set for the track.

No. V-Maxx only supplies kits for the front axle; around 90% of the braking power comes from there.
