This big brake kit F22 from V-Maxx is a complete performance brake kit for the front axle of the BMW 2 Series Coupé F22 and Convertible F23. You get 330 mm two-piece, grooved brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, including sport brake pads and vehicle-specific adapters.

The 2 Series is a popular basis for track days and circuit days. If you want to get more out of it there, the brakes are often the first limitation. This kit maintains the braking performance even under repeated hard braking, with a firm and predictable pedal.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer. The kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and is therefore also approved for use on public roads.

The kW limits refer to the original output. Minimum wheel size: 17 inch. Always check with the fitment template (WFC, Wheel Fitment Chart) whether your wheels clear the caliper; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit F22 carefully according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions, as it is a safety-critical part. Only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with a mild soap; wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium.

Optionally, you can choose a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow, at extra cost) and add V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses (PTFE inner hose, with TÜV approval), Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set or extra Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads (without TÜV). Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

The 2 Series has the chassis for the track; with this V-Maxx kit it gets the brakes to match.

Why choose this big brake kit F22?

Standard brakes quickly lose braking power under repeated hard braking, because the heat cannot escape. On this big brake kit F22 the caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about five times better than steel, and the disc has directional cooling channels that draw the heat outwards. Frequently asked questions

Does this kit fit the M2?

No. This kit is intended for F22 and F23 versions from 100 to 185 kW, and the M2 falls outside that limit. The 355 and 365 mm kits for the 2 Series are not for the M2 either; they are available for versions from 180 to 250 kW and for versions from 100 to 165 kW with factory-fitted M Sport brakes.

Does the kit fit behind my wheels?

With the big brake kit F22 you need wheels of at least 17 inch. Even at 17 inch, the wheel design determines whether the caliper has enough clearance, so always check the fitment template (WFC) beforehand; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Can I use the big brake kit F22 on public roads?

Yes, the kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3. It also remains approved after an officially approved power upgrade, because the kW limits refer to the original output.

Is it normal for the brake pads to click?

Yes. V-Maxx deliberately gives the pads 1 to 1.5 mm of play so they do not seize when they get hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.
