This big brake kit Fiesta Mk7 from V-Maxx is the 330 mm version for the Ford Fiesta Mk7 (JA8/JR8) from 44 to 103 kW with original rear drum brakes. The kit consists of 330 mm two-piece brake discs, 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, V-Maxx sport brake pads and vehicle-specific adapters.

Important: V-Maxx has no TÜV approval for this version. The kit is mainly intended for track use, for example in a Fiesta for track days or club races. Whether you are allowed to use it on public roads in your situation is something you must check yourself. For the same car, V-Maxx also offers the 290 mm version 20 FO290 02, which does have TÜV approval.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and keep to the tightening torques stated in them. The kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Never use wheel cleaner on the brake kit, as it attacks the aluminium; mild soap is sufficient. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Options: V-Maxx Steelflex brake hoses 460 mm (set of 2) with PTFE inner hose, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set, a different caliper colour (red RAL 3020 as standard, or black, blue or yellow at extra cost) and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads (without TÜV approval). Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

V-Maxx has no TÜV approval for this version. The kit is mainly intended for track use; whether you are allowed to use it on public roads is something you must check yourself.

What is the difference from the 290 mm kit?

The big brake kit Fiesta Mk7 with 330 mm discs gives more braking capacity, but requires wheels of at least 17 inch and has no TÜV approval. The 290 mm kit (20 FO290 02) fits from 15 inch and does have TÜV approval. For the Fiesta ST Mk7 there are separate kits: 20 FO290 03 (290 mm) and 20 FO330 01 (330 mm).

Is the big brake kit Fiesta Mk7 suitable for a car with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. A Fiesta Mk7 with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 330 mm discs and 4-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output.

Is it normal for the brake pads to click?

Yes. V-Maxx deliberately gives the pads 1 to 1.5 mm of play so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change direction of travel.
