Description
Volkswagen Caddy 5 SA V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 365 mm 6-piston
For the Volkswagen Caddy 5 (SAA/SAH/SAB/SAJ) with aluminium steering knuckle, this big brake kit Caddy SA 365 mm is the largest V-Maxx brake kit. The kit combines 365 mm two-piece brake discs with 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium.
Choosing 365 mm means choosing the highest braking torque V-Maxx makes for the Caddy 5. For that, the kit requires wheels of at least 19 inch, and it is intended for versions from 55 to 110 kW with original brake discs of at least Ø288 mm at the front and Ø271 mm at the rear.
The caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium and the discs have directional cooling channels, so the kit cools down quickly after hard braking and the braking performance stays consistent. V-Maxx Autosport from the Netherlands supplies the kit ready to fit with sport brake pads with TÜV approval and adapters for the original brake hoses, a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 for use on public roads and a 2-year warranty.
Key benefits
- 365 mm discs: the largest diameter for the Caddy 5 (SA)
- Forged 6-piston calipers made of aluminium
- More braking torque than with the 355 mm kit
- Less fade thanks to the fast heat dissipation of aluminium calipers, brackets and bells
- Grooved two-piece discs with directional cooling channels
- Floating bells made of ultra-light aluminium
- TÜV §19.3 for public roads
- Complete kit: sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters
Suitable for
Volkswagen Caddy 5 (SA), model year from 2020
- Volkswagen Caddy (MK5) (SAA/SAH/SAB/SAJ), from 10-2020, with Ø55 mm front shock absorbers: 55 to 110 kW
- The original brake discs measure at least Ø288 mm front and Ø271 mm rear
- The car has an aluminium steering knuckle with Ø55 mm shock absorber clamp
Minimum wheel size: 19 inch. Use the fitment template (WFC, Wheel Fitment Chart) to check in advance whether your wheel rotates freely around the caliper; a wheel spacer may be required.

Fitting and delivery
You fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied, including the tightening torques specified in them. The big brake kit Caddy SA 365 mm is only intended for cars with original steering knuckles. Use a mild soap for cleaning and no wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium.
Available to order separately: Steelflex steel braided brake hoses from V-Maxx for the front axle, 620 mm (set of 2), with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.
365 mm discs and six pistons behind 19 inch wheels: this is how the Caddy 5 gets the highest braking torque V-Maxx supplies for this model.
Why choose this big brake kit Caddy SA 365 mm?
The big brake kit Caddy SA 365 mm is the choice for a Caddy 5 on 19 inch or larger wheels. A larger disc diameter means a longer lever arm for the caliper and therefore more braking torque. At the same time, the aluminium parts, which conduct heat about 5 times better than steel, and the directional cooling channels ensure that the kit cools down quickly after every hard stop. With TÜV approval, sport brake pads and a 2-year warranty, the kit is complete.
Frequently asked questions
355 mm or 365 mm: which kit suits my Caddy 5?
That depends on your wheels. The big brake kit Caddy SA 365 mm requires at least 19 inch and gives the most braking torque; the 355 mm kit (20 VW355 06) works from 18 inch. Both are intended for the Caddy 5 (SA) with aluminium steering knuckle.
Is the big brake kit Caddy SA 365 mm allowed on public roads?
Yes. The kit has TÜV approval according to §19.3 and remains approved even after an officially approved power upgrade, because the kW limits in the application list refer to the original output.
Will there also be a V-Maxx kit for the rear axle?
No, V-Maxx only makes big brake kits for the front axle. That axle accounts for about 90% of the braking power.
Is a click when changing direction of travel normal?
Yes. The brake pads deliberately have 1 to 1.5 mm of play, so they do not seize in the caliper at high temperatures. When you change direction of travel, they shift and that produces a short click.
How long is the delivery time for the Caddy 5 kit?
The delivery time is 4 to 7 days.
