With the big brake kit Corsa D OPC, V-Maxx gives the Corsa D with PCD 5×110 a brake system with 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit fits the Corsa D from 88 to 110 kW and the Corsa D 1.6 Turbo from 110 to 155 kW, and comes ready to fit with sport brake pads and adapters.

A Corsa D 1.6 Turbo or OPC on the track demands a lot from the brakes: every lap brings several hard braking manoeuvres in quick succession. The V-Maxx kit is built for that. Aluminium calipers, brackets and bells dissipate heat quickly and the discs have directional cooling channels, so fade sets in much later. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer that gives a 2-year warranty, and the kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3.

Fitting and delivery

You fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied, using the tightening torques from those instructions. Fitting is only possible on a Corsa D with original steering knuckles. Wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium, so clean the brake kit with a mild soap. For heavy track use, V-Maxx advises removing the dust seals from the calipers.

You can extend the kit with a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow, at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (460 mm, set of 2, with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval), Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV approval. The delivery time is 4 to 7 days.

Can I use the big brake kit Corsa D OPC on the road?

Yes. The big brake kit Corsa D OPC has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and is approved for use on public roads, also with an officially approved power upgrade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original power output.

Is the kit suitable for the track?
