Volkswagen Passat 3B / 3BG V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston

The big brake kit Passat 3B from V-Maxx fits the Volkswagen Passat and Passat Variant of the 3B and 3BG generations, including 4Motion. The kit replaces the original front brakes with 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium.

Under repeated hard braking, with a fully loaded car or at a track day, the brakes stay consistent for much longer with this kit: the aluminium calipers, brackets and bells conduct heat about five times better than steel and the discs have directional cooling channels.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and supplies the kit ready to fit with sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters. Thanks to the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit Passat 3B according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and follow the tightening torques stated in them. The kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Never use wheel cleaner on the brake kit: it attacks the aluminium. Mild soap is sufficient. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

The calipers are red (RAL 3020) as standard; black, blue or yellow is available at extra cost. You can also order V-Maxx Steelflex brake hoses 460 mm (set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads; these DS pads have no TÜV approval. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Saloon or Variant, with or without 4Motion: with this kit, the Passat 3B and 3BG get 330 mm discs and forged 4-piston calipers, including TÜV approval.
