Volkswagen Passat 3G V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 365 mm 6-piston

With the big brake kit Passat 3G 365 mm, you fit the largest V-Maxx brake kit to the front axle of the Volkswagen Passat (3G): 365 mm two-piece brake discs with 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium.

The larger disc diameter gives the caliper more leverage, and because the caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, the kit cools down quickly after heavy braking. On the track or under repeated hard braking on the road, the braking performance therefore stays consistent and fade sets in much later.

The kit comes ready to fit from V-Maxx Autosport, a Dutch manufacturer, including sport brake pads with TÜV approval and adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect. With the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

When fitting, use the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and follow the tightening torques. The big brake kit Passat 3G 365 mm is intended for cars with original steering knuckles. Never clean the brake kit with wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium; mild soap is sufficient. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

As an option, you can also order V-Maxx Steelflex brake hoses 620 mm (set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, as well as Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

The 355 mm kit (20 VW355 03) fits from 18 inch wheels. The big brake kit Passat 3G 365 mm (20 VW365 03) has a larger disc and requires at least 19 inch. Both kits have 6-piston calipers and the same applications.

Which requirements apply to my car?

For the big brake kit Passat 3G 365 mm, the car must have Ø55 mm front shock absorbers, an aluminium steering knuckle with Ø55 mm clamp and original brake discs of at least Ø288 mm at the front and Ø271 mm at the rear. The kit applies to versions from 81 to 206 kW.

Can I use this kit on public roads?

Yes, the kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3. It also remains valid after an officially approved power upgrade, because the kW limits in the application list refer to the original output.

Is there a kit for the rear axle?

No. V-Maxx only supplies kits for the front axle, which is where about 90% of the braking power comes from.
