Installation and delivery

To fit the E9X hidden hydraulic handbrake, part of the ashtray space has to be cut away. The black mounting plate fits around the gear lever and has mounting holes that match the original holes in the tunnel. The lever then sticks up through the ashtray. Depending on the version of the car, the plastic on the inside of the tunnel may need to be trimmed slightly. This cannot be seen from the outside.

You can include the E9X hidden hydraulic handbrake in the existing brake system or build an additional, independent brake circuit with it. The adapters for this are available separately. If you work on the brake system, bleed it carefully and check all connections for leaks before you drive. If in doubt, have the work done by an experienced mechanic.
