EBC uses different colours to clarify the type of brake pad and its intended use. Each colour represents a different composition and application:

Greenstuff – street use
Greenstuff is intended for normal to light sport street use. These brake pads have less dust formation and are quieter, ideal for daily driving.

Redstuff – premium street & sporty
Redstuff is a ceramic brake pad with less brake dust and better bite than standard pads, ideal for sporty street cars.

Yellowstuff – sporty street & trackday
Yellowstuff offers high friction and strong braking from cold temperatures, suitable for sporty street use, mountain roads, trackdays and light racing use.

Bluestuff – track use
Bluestuff has been developed for heavier track and trackday use, with a heat-resistant compound and high braking performance.

Orangestuff – competition
Orangestuff is a race-oriented compound, not street-legal, for professional track use.

Ultimax2 – standard replacement
Ultimax2 is EBC’s replacement for OEM grade brake pads, with comparable performance and better longevity.
