Description
The tape is made of specially impregnated glass fibre and is designed for thermal insulation of exhaust system components that reach high temperatures. In the engine bay, especially exhaust manifolds, turbocharger accessories, etc.
The tape significantly reduces thermal radiation while lowering the temperature of other components in the engine compartment.
At the same time, our tape stabilises the operating temperature of isolated components of the exhaust system, extending their service life and improving engine performance and parameters.
Textile exhaust insulation has been used in elite sports since the late 1980s and also finds applications in heavy industrial, military, shipbuilding and aerospace vehicles. Its popularity confirms how serious the exhaust system heat dissipation problem is.
Installation method:
1. Determine the length of tape required to wrap the outlet component using the table below. Be sure to add about 20 cm to the total length of tape for each bend or elbow.
2. Wrap the tape around the beginning of the insulated part of the exhaust pipe and secure with a bend or bobbin.
3. Continue wrapping the element, making sure the tape is well stretched and the individual braids overlap by about 5-6 mm.
4. After wrapping the entire element, secure the last braid with a pin or cybant.

PLEASE NOTE!!!: The first time you start the engine after insulating, play outside in a well-ventilated area. Due to the specifications of the manufacturing process, the tape contains small amounts of oil and other substances, so small amounts of smoke may be released during initial warm-up.
The smoke should stop after about 30 minutes of running the engine. The glass fibres from which the tape is made may cause slight skin irritation. Therefore, we recommend wearing protective gloves during installation.
- Strength up to 800 °C
- Thickness of about 2 mm
- Does not contain asbestos
