Description

The tape is made of specially impregnated glass fibre and is intended for thermal insulation of exhaust system components that can reach high temperatures. In the engine compartment, especially exhaust manifolds, turbocharger accessories, etc.

The tape significantly reduces the level of thermal radiation while lowering the temperature of other components in the engine compartment.

Our tape also stabilises the operating temperature of the insulated components of the exhaust system, extending their life and improving engine performance and parameters.

Textile insulation of exhaust systems has been used in competitive sports since the late 1980s and also finds application in heavy industrial, military, shipbuilding and aviation vehicles, confirming its popularity as the heat generated by the exhaust system is a serious problem.

Mounting method:

1. Determine the length of tape required for the outlet element using the table below. Be sure to add about 20 cm to the total length of the tape for each bend or knee.
2. Wrap the tape at the beginning of the insulated parts of the exhaust pipe and secure with a clip or U-bolt.
3. Keep wrapping the element, making sure the tape is well stretched and the individual braids overlap by about 5-6 mm.
4. After wrapping the entire element, secure the last braid with a clip or U-bolt.

CAUTION!: When starting the engine after insulation, make an opening outside in a well-ventilated area. Due to the specifications of the manufacturing process, the tape contains small amounts of oil and other substances, so a small amount of smoke may be released during initial heating.

Smoking should stop after about 30 minutes of engine running. The glass fibres of the tape may slightly irritate the skin, so we recommend wearing protective gloves during assembly.
