E36 E46 Platform V2 BMW Sports bucket seat mount

This E36 E46 seat platform is a steel base plate on which you mount a sports bucket seat in the BMW 3 Series E36, E36 Compact and E46. This is the new V2 version, made of 3 mm thick S355 steel and powder-coated black. Together with separate side brackets, the platform forms a complete seat installation, suitable for road cars with a bucket seat and for drift and track cars.

In the E36 and E46, it is important that the seat is neatly in line with the steering wheel. Thanks to the many mounting holes, you can slide the seat on this platform forwards or backwards and to the left or right until it is in exactly the right place.

Installation and delivery

The E36 E46 seat platform V2 is the base under your bucket seat. You fix the side brackets on the platform, and the seat hangs on those brackets. By choosing which holes you use, you determine the position: further forwards or backwards for your leg length, and to the left or right so that you sit straight behind the steering wheel.

Take your time to determine the seating position before you fix everything for good: sit in the seat, check the distance to the pedals and steering wheel and see whether you can fasten the belts properly. Use sturdy bolts with locking nuts and check after the first track day that everything is still tight.
