The Hypertech v2 is a super lightweight and breathable two-layer suit with an athletic fit, designed and developed for drivers seeking professional racing performance. The Hypertech v2 also meets the significantly stricter requirements of the new FIA standard 8856-2018, while maintaining its incredibly lightweight feel; with an impressive weight of 265 g/m².
The outer layer is made of an anti-static aramid Nomex outer layer that offers optimal heat and flame resistance, while maintaining the lowest possible weight. The new inner lining is made of an innovative aramid knit, which again meets the new FIA standard. The suit also features thin, stretchy, super-light panels developed exclusively for Alpinestars. These panels maximise comfort and ensure that the suit regulates body temperature optimally. Strategically placed on the elbows, lower back and sides, crotch and knees, these F1-derived stretch panels offer excellent flexibility and freedom of movement in all key areas of movement.
