The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage BMW E30 Sedan V3 is a full roll cage for the BMW E30 3 Series with 4-door saloon bodywork. In addition to the front reinforcement bars, this Bolt-in E30 Sedan V3 also has door bars in both doors and is designed for the rear-wheel-drive E30.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who go on track or into competition and see side protection not as an optional extra but as a basic requirement.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The door bars make getting in tighter, so take into account the position of your bucket seat and where the door card sits. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell; only once they are secured is the cage bolted onto them.

The V3 is the point at which an E30 Saloon goes from fast road car to fully fledged track car: front bars and door bars in a single structure.

Can I still get in normally with door bars fitted?

Yes, but it works differently. The Bolt-in E30 Saloon V3 has bars in the door aperture, so you step over the bar to get in. That is why many drivers combine this version with a bucket seat and a removable steering wheel.

How well does the cage fit my car?

AST scans the bodyshell with laser scanners and then designs the cage in 3D for exactly this E30 Saloon. As a result, the tubes run snugly along the pillars and there is no need for trial fitting and cutting on site.
