The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage BMW E30 Touring V1 is a full roll cage for the rear-wheel-drive BMW E30 3 Series with 5-door Touring bodywork. This Bolt-in E30 Touring V1 is the basic version: a main hoop with backstays that makes the interior of your Touring competition-ready in one step.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who use their rear-wheel-drive E30 Touring on the track, for drifting or in rallies and want a structure that fits the bodyshell exactly.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell, after which the cage itself is bolted onto those plates. So allow for welding work during preparation and have it carried out by an experienced specialist. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly.

The V1 is the entry level of the AST range for the E30 Touring: a full roll cage with main hoop and backstays, ready to be extended later.

Frequently asked questions

Does this cage also fit the all-wheel-drive E30 325iX?

No. The Bolt-in E30 Touring V1 is intended exclusively for the rear-wheel-drive BMW E30 Touring. The floor and transmission tunnel of the all-wheel-drive 325iX are different, so AST supplies a separate AWD version for it.

What exactly will I receive?

You receive the welded structure, divided into sections joined by connecting sleeves, together with the reinforcement plates, the bolts, washers and nuts, the documentation, the fitting instructions and the sticker set. Everything is supplied unpainted.

Is this roll cage homologated?

The cage is intended for track and competition use. Always check the technical regulations of your own sporting federation or organiser before you enter.
