AST Full Roll Cage BMW E30 Coupé V3

The AST Full Roll Cage BMW E30 Coupé V3 is a full roll cage for the BMW 3 Series (E30) with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Full Roll Cage E30 Coupé V3 has everything the V2 has and adds door bars, so the sides of the car also benefit from the structure. It is made for the rear-wheel-drive E30; a separate line is available for the all-wheel-drive 325iX.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who compete and do not want to leave side protection to chance.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell and the cage is then bolted in place. The door bars make getting in and out tighter; bear this in mind when choosing your seat and harnesses.

With door bars added, you are surrounded by steel on all four sides in your E30 Coupé.

Why choose this Full roll cage E30 Coupé V3?

A side impact is no rarity on track, and certainly not in drifting, and an E30 door stops next to nothing. The door bars in this version absorb that impact and transfer it to the rest of the structure. Combined with the front reinforcement bars, you also get the most rigid of the three E30 versions.

Frequently asked questions

What does the V3 add compared with the V2?

The V3 has everything the V2 has, plus door bars in the doors. These provide side protection and make the entire structure more torsionally rigid.

Can I still get in normally with door bars fitted?

Getting in takes more effort than with the other versions. The door bars of the Full Roll Cage E30 Coupé V3 run through the door opening at hip height, so you climb over them rather than stepping straight through. For competition use with a bucket seat and a harness, that is standard practice.

Is this cage suitable for competition?

The cage is built for track, drift and rally use. Always check for yourself the regulations of the organiser whose events you enter, as the requirements for a safety structure vary by class and by country.

What if my car has a sunroof or headlining?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof and whether the headlining will stay in place, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.
