The AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E36 Compact V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW E36 with 3-door Compact bodywork. This Multipoint Compact V2 builds on the V1 and adds front reinforcement bars, while the cage is permanently welded to the bodyshell at ten points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want to make the front of their Compact extra stiff without having door bars in the interior just yet.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly. With this version, allow for extra fitting work at the front, as the front reinforcement bars extend into the area around the dashboard.

The Multipoint Compact V2 is the V1 with front reinforcement bars, for a noticeably stiffer front structure.

Why choose this Multipoint Compact V2 roll cage?

The V2 is the logical intermediate step: you get the complete weld-in structure of the V1 plus reinforcement at the front, where the forces hit hardest during drifting and track use. As there are no door bars yet, getting in and out remains easy and you keep your freedom of movement in the interior.

What does the V2 add compared with the V1?

The Multipoint Compact V2 has the same basic layout as the V1, but with front reinforcement bars added. The ten-point weld-in mounting is identical.

Does this version have door bars?

No. Door bars are only included from the V3 onwards. If you want side protection alongside the driver, look at the V3 or the V4.

What exactly will I receive?

You receive an unpainted weld-in kit with the gussets and reinforcement plates, the bolts, washers and nuts, the documentation, the fitting instructions and a sticker set.
