The AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E87 V5 NASCAR Door Bars is a full roll cage for the BMW 1 Series E87 with five-door hatchback bodywork. This Multipoint E87 V5 NASCAR is the top model in the range: the complete set of bars, ten welded mounting points and NASCAR tubes in both doors.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for an E87 being built up as a competition car that will need no further changes.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly. Expect the longest fitting time in the range: this kit has the most tubes and therefore the most welding.

What does the V5 offer compared with the V4?

The V4 has the door bars, an extra diagonal bar and the harness bar. The V5 adds the rest of the set of bars, so the cage is connected to itself and to the bodyshell at more points.

Does this cage also fit an E81 or E82?

No. This version is designed for the five-door E87. The three-door E81 and the E82 Coupé each have their own AST cage, and these are not interchangeable with this one.

Is there an FIA homologation number for this item?
