The AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E90 Saloon V4 is a full roll cage for the BMW E90 with four-door saloon bodywork. This Multipoint E90 Saloon V4 combines ten welded mounting points with the V4 equipment: door bars, an extra diagonal brace and a harness bar for mounting the harness.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want both the most comprehensive set of bars and the widest load distribution in their E90.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Determine the position of the harness bar together with your seat and harness layout before any final welding is done. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly.

Frequently asked questions

Is this roll cage FIA-homologated for my E90?

For this Multipoint E90 Saloon V4, AST lists homologation number N-5696 / A-5696 and states explicitly that the structure complies with FIA Appendix J in the BMW 320Si version. The 320Si is a rare version. If you drive a 320i, 325i, 330i or another E90, do not assume that your car is covered by this homologation; check with your sporting authority or inspection body beforehand.

Why is this cage lighter than the bolt-in version?

The bolt-in version has six foot plates, connecting sleeves and all the associated mounting hardware; AST lists 210 kg for it. This weld-in kit comes to 71 kg according to the manufacturer’s figure, because the joints are replaced by welding.
