The AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW F82 Coupé V5 NASCAR Door Bars is a full roll cage for the BMW 4 Series F82 with 2-door coupé bodywork. The Multipoint F82 Coupé V5 NASCAR is the top model in the range: the complete set of bars of the V5, with the standard door bars replaced by several curved tubes in the door.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for competition cars that will not be modified any further and where both rigidity and side protection need to be at the highest level.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. This is the most labour-intensive version in the range: the interior has to be stripped almost completely before any welding can begin, and the door cards have to be modified for the NASCAR tubes. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D so that it fits your car exactly.

This is as much steel as AST designs for the F82 Coupé.

Why choose this Multipoint F82 Coupé V5 NASCAR roll cage?

If your car is driven hard every weekend, you don’t want it back on the lift mid-season to add extra bars. This version leaves nothing to add: the set of bars is complete and the doors have NASCAR door bars. It costs the most and takes the most fitting work, but after that the cage is finished. The cage is intended for track and competition use; always check the regulations of your own organiser before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference from the V5 without NASCAR door bars?

Only the doors. Instead of the standard door bar, the Multipoint F82 Coupé V5 NASCAR has a set of curved tubes in the door, which gives more side protection and more room to get in and out. The rest of the bar layout is identical.

Does this cage also fit a BMW G82 or a convertible?

No. The cage is designed exclusively for the F82 Coupé. AST does not offer a convertible version for the F82, and the G82 is its successor, with its own cage that is not interchangeable.

How much room will I have left inside?

Less than with a lighter version, as this is the version with the most tubes. The NASCAR door tubes actually give you more room to get in than a straight door bar, but expect a bare interior with modified or removed trim.
