The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW E30 Saloon AWD V1 is a half roll cage for the all-wheel-drive BMW E30 325iX with 4-door saloon bodywork. This Removable Half Cage E30 Saloon AWD V1 is the basic version of the AWD range, with a main hoop and backstays that protect the rear compartment. The cage sits on four bolting points on four foot plates welded to the bodyshell and remains removable via connecting sleeves.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, specifically for the 325iX, whose floorpan and floor contours differ from those of the rear-wheel-drive E30.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The four foot plates are welded to the bodyshell by a specialist, after which the cage is bolted onto them and can be taken off again later. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your 325iX exactly.

A half roll cage that fits the all-wheel-drive E30, where a standard E30 cage will not simply drop in.

Why choose this Removable Half Cage E30 Saloon AWD V1?

The 325iX has its own floorpan and different floor contours from the regular E30, which means an RWD cage almost never fits properly. AST therefore designs this version separately, based on laser scans of the all-wheel-drive car. That way you get protection in the rear without having to improvise with extended foot plates or modified tubes.

Is this cage really for the all-wheel-drive E30?

Yes. This Removable Half Cage E30 Saloon AWD V1 is designed for the all-wheel-drive E30 325iX saloon. It does not fit the rear-wheel-drive E30; AST supplies a separate RWD version for that.

What exactly will I receive?

You receive the welded structure with the connecting sleeves, the reinforcement plates, the bolts, washers and nuts, the documentation, the fitting instructions and a sticker set. The cage is unpainted, so you decide on the finish yourself.

Can I upgrade to V2 later?

V2 is a separate product with a more extensive set of bars; it is not supplied as an add-on for the V1. Choose the level of equipment that suits your use in advance.

What if my car has a sunroof or headlining?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof and whether the headlining will stay in place, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.

Where is the roll cage anchored at the rear?

That is up to you. When ordering, you specify whether the cage is anchored in the rear suspension area or at the wheel arch, and AST builds the cage around that choice.
