The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW E34 Saloon V1 is a half roll cage for the BMW 5 Series E34 with 4-door saloon bodywork. This removable half cage E34 Saloon V1 is the basic version: a main hoop with backstays that protects the rear compartment and can be taken back out of the car via the connecting sleeves.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who take their E34 to the circuit or the drift track and want to keep the car perfectly usable the rest of the time.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The four foot plates are welded to the bodyshell and the cage is then bolted onto those plates, so have it fitted by someone experienced in welding on a monocoque.

What exactly will I receive?

Will this cage fit my car without modification?

AST digitised the bodyshell of the E34 Saloon with laser scanners and then custom-designed the removable half cage E34 Saloon V1 in 3D, so that the tubes and foot plates end up in exactly the right place. The foot plates are, however, welded to the bodyshell; the cage itself is then bolted in.

What if my car has a sunroof or headlining?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof and whether the headlining will stay in place, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.
