The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW E92 Coupé V2 is a half roll cage for the BMW 3 Series E92 with two-door coupé bodywork. This Removable Half Cage E92 Coupé V2 builds on the V1 and adds extra bracing, making the rear compartment stiffer without losing its removable character.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want more rigidity and more attachment points than the basic version offers.

The E92 is the coupé of the E90 generation. The saloon E90, the Touring E91 and the convertible E93 each have their own cage, and these do not fit this two-door.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Expect more preparation than with the V1: there are more bars to fit, so plan the installation for a time when the rear interior can come out anyway. Welding the four foot plates is a job for a fitter with roll cage experience.

The V2 is for anyone who wants a genuinely stiffer rear end on their E92 Coupé but still wants to be able to take the cage out now and then.

What is the difference from the V1?

The Removable Half Cage E92 Coupé V2 adds extra bars on top of the main hoop and braces of the V1. Both are half roll cages on four bolting points and both are removable, but the V2 is the stiffer, more comprehensively equipped level.

Does this cage fit my car exactly?

Yes, provided it is a BMW 3 Series E92 Coupé. AST builds the cage from a laser scan of exactly this bodyshell, so the tubes follow the pillars and wheel arches of the two-door. An E90 saloon or E93 convertible needs a different cage.

What if my car has a sunroof or headlining?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof and whether the headlining will stay in place, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.
