The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW F21 V1 is a half roll cage for the BMW 1 Series F21 with three-door hatchback bodywork. This removable half cage F21 V1 is the entry-level version: a main hoop with braces that stays entirely within the rear compartment, leaving your front interior untouched.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain for drivers who use their F21 on track but don’t want to modify the car permanently.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Please note: the four foot plates are welded to the bodyshell, after which the cage is bolted onto them. So allow for welding by a qualified fitter, even though the cage itself is removable.

A half roll cage that reinforces the rear compartment of the F21 and simply comes back out after the season.

Frequently asked questions

Does this cage also fit a five-door BMW F20?

No. The removable half cage F21 V1 is designed around the three-door F21 bodyshell. The five-door F20 has its own AST cage, and the two are not interchangeable.

What exactly will I receive?

You receive the welded structure with connecting sleeves, the reinforcement plates, the complete mounting hardware, the documentation, the fitting instructions and the sticker set. The cage arrives unpainted.

Is this cage homologated?

The cage is intended for track and competition use. Always check the regulations of your own governing body or organiser yourself before you enter.

What if my car has headlining?

When ordering, please state whether the headlining will stay in your car, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.

What is the delivery time?

The standard delivery time for this roll cage is 15 to 35 working days.
