The AST Removable Roll Cage BMW E82 Coupé V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW 1 Series E82 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This removable E82 Coupé V2 roll cage builds on the basic structure with front reinforcement bars towards the bulkhead and sits on six bolted mounting points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want a cage running the full length of the car but also need to be able to take the structure out again. The sections are joined by connecting sleeves, so dismantling requires no grinding.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell, and only then is the cage fitted. Remove the interior and trim before welding begins. The cage is intended for track and competition use; check the regulations of your own sporting authority or organiser before ordering.

Does this cage also fit an E81 or E87?

No. AST designs a dedicated cage for each body style. This one has been measured on the two-door E82 Coupé; the three-door E81 and the five-door E87 have their own version, which does not fit here.
