AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E30 Coupé V4

The AST weld-in roll cage for the BMW E30 Coupé V4 is a full roll cage for the BMW E30 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Weld-in E30 Coupé V4 is permanently welded to the bodyshell at eight points and includes door bars, front reinforcement bars, an extra diagonal brace and a harness bar. The cage is made for the RWD version, i.e. the rear-wheel-drive E30 Coupé, and not for the all-wheel-drive 325iX.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drifters and track racers turning the classic two-door E30 into a serious competition car.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so it fits your car exactly. A weld-in cage is permanent: the interior, trim and sound insulation have to come out, and the welding should be done by a specialist.

Why choose this Weld-in E30 Coupé V4 roll cage?

The two-door E30 has long doors and therefore a larger unsupported opening than the saloon. That is exactly where a welded-in cage pays off: the eight welded mounting points and the door bars close that opening again. Combined with the harness bar, you get a car that is both more rigid and safer than with a bolt-in solution.

Frequently asked questions

Is this cage for the rear-wheel-drive or the all-wheel-drive E30?

The Weld-in E30 Coupé V4 is the RWD version and is therefore intended for the rear-wheel-drive E30 Coupé. If you drive an all-wheel-drive 325iX, choose the AWD version, which has a modified design around the front axle.

Can I take the cage out again later?

No. This is a weld-in cage that is welded to the bodyshell at eight points and so becomes a permanent part of the car. If you want a removable solution, look at a bolt-in version.
