The AST weld-in roll cage for the BMW E30 Touring AWD V4 with NASCAR door bars is a full roll cage for the BMW E30 3 Series with 5-door Touring bodywork. This Weld-in E30 Touring AWD V4 NASCAR has several curved tubes in the door instead of the standard door bar and has been measured for the all-wheel-drive E30 (325iX); it will not fit a rear-wheel-drive E30.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drifters who face the greatest risk on the driver’s side and want the heaviest protection there.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The door card and trim come out for good, as the curved tubes take up that space. Have the welding done by a specialist; fitting is permanent.

Does this cage fit a rear-wheel-drive E30 Touring?

No. The Weld-in E30 Touring AWD V4 NASCAR is made for the all-wheel-drive E30, the 325iX. The drive to the front wheels results in a different floor and transmission tunnel shape, so the welded mounting points and mounting feet do not line up on a rear-wheel-drive E30.

What is the difference from the regular V4?

The layout of the cage is the same, but the door has several curved tubes instead of the standard door bar. That gives more side protection and also means the door card cannot be refitted.
