The AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E36 Compact V5 is a full roll cage for the BMW E36 with 3-door Compact bodywork. This Weld-in Compact V5 is the most comprehensive version in the range and, like the other weld-in versions, is permanently welded to the bodyshell at 8 points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who are turning their E36 Compact into a fully-fledged competition car and don’t want to skip anything.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly. As this version has the most tubes, the interior has to come out completely, and it is wise to allow plenty of workshop time.

The V5 leaves nothing out: this is the complete AST layout for the E36 Compact, welded in all at once.

The V5 is the most comprehensive version in the range and therefore goes further than the V4, which itself already includes the door bars, the extra diagonals and the harness bars.

The Weld-in Compact V5 is designed for drifting, track and rally use. What is permitted on public roads varies from country to country, so check this in advance with your own inspection body.

What exactly will I receive?

You receive an unpainted weld-in kit in E355 steel with the 3 mm gussets and reinforcement plates, the bolts, washers and nuts, the documentation, the fitting instructions and a sticker set.
