The AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E36 Touring V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW E36 with 5-door Touring bodywork. This Weld-in Touring V2 builds on the V1 and adds front reinforcement bars, so the structure also extends into the front of the car. The V2 is likewise permanently welded in at 8 mounting points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who, besides protection, are above all looking for noticeably more torsional rigidity at the front of the car.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Plan the fitting to coincide with stripping the interior, as the front reinforcement bars run past areas that need to be cleared first.

With the front reinforcement bars added, the V2 braces the entire bodyshell of the Touring, not just the rear.

What about the fit?

AST digitises the bodyshell of every car with laser scanners and then designs the cage in 3D. The tubes and the 3 mm steel reinforcement plates are thus made specifically for the 5-door Touring, which greatly reduces the trial fitting and measuring needed when the cage goes in.
