The AST Weld-in Roll Cage for the BMW E39 Sedan V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW 5 Series E39 with 4-door saloon bodywork. Alongside the main hoop and braces, this Weld-in E39 Sedan V2 also has front reinforcement bars that run through to the bulkhead, making the nose of the car part of the structure.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain for drivers who want more torsional rigidity in the front section of their E39 without going straight to the heaviest version.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Bear in mind that the dashboard and the trim around the bulkhead will need to come out before the front bars can be welded into place.

With the front bars to the bulkhead, the nose of the E39 becomes a load-bearing part of the cage.

What is the difference from the V1?

The Weld-in E39 Sedan V2 is the V1 with two additional bars running from the main structure to the bulkhead. The rest of the construction and the delivery package are identical.

Will the cage fit my car without modifications?

The cage is built from a laser scan of the E39 saloon bodyshell, so the tubes follow the original pillars and floor. Fitting and aligning it is still manual work for the welder.
