The AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E46 Compact V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW E46 with 3-door Compact bodywork. In addition to the main hoop and the backstays, this Weld-in E46 Compact V2 also has front reinforcement bars, which extend the structure to the A-pillars and the roof.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want more torsional rigidity than a basic frame offers without closing off the door opening straight away.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Expect to strip the car, as the front reinforcement bars run along the A-pillars and the interior has to come out there.

With front reinforcement bars extending into the A-pillars, the E46 Compact becomes noticeably more rigid without the door opening getting cluttered.
