The AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E82 Coupé V5 NASCAR Door Bars is a full roll cage for the BMW 1 Series E82 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Weld-in E82 Coupé V5 NASCAR combines the highest specification level of the weld-in range with several curved tubes in the door.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain for drivers who don’t want to add anything later: the full set of bars and the heaviest door design go in all at once. The structure is welded to the bodyshell at eight points.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. This is the most extensive weld-in cage for the E82, so allow for a considerable fitting time. The door cards have to come out for the door tubes, and the interior must be stripped before welding begins. The cage is intended for track and competition use; check the regulations of your own governing body or organiser.

What is the difference from the V4 NASCAR?

The Weld-in E82 Coupé V5 NASCAR has the complete set of bars, whereas the V4 stops at door bars plus an extra diagonal brace and harness bar. The NASCAR door tubes are the same on both.

Does this cage also fit an E81 or E87?

No. AST designs a separate cage for each body style. This one belongs to the two-door E82 Coupé; the three-door E81 and the five-door E87 each have their own version, and these are not interchangeable.
